The importance of Carian Phalanx 🗡️

When people approach me and ask: How can I become a good mage? Thing is, the answer is pretty simple: Always have spells for each possible situation. Of course, this is no easy feet at the beginning where you can only have 2 Memory Slots at most. But in this case in particular, I’d say: Always save up space for the Carian Phalanx spell.
Don’t let it trick you: this is not an offensive spell, it thrives when it comes to defending you! It’s the closest thing you’ll ever have resembling a magic shield. If the enemy is hidden, as long as it’s relatively in front of you, the blades will track them. If they don’t kill it, you’ll at least have enough time to evade or better yet: it gets staggered so you can finish them off.
Just in this example right here, I used Comet Azur with the purposes of defeating the mob in one go, yet he charged at me with a one-hit K.O. grab attack. I decided to commit, but it’s really the blades that saved me:
If you slow down a bit, by the end of the casting, you’ll see how the blades finish him off. ALWAYS use Carian Phalanx!!! Alternatively, Glintblade Phalanx is the “baby” version for early game, but it’s equally effective.
ALWAS HAVE THIS SPELL IN YOUR DECK!!
